What we were up to over the weekend.

I had received a collection of sea salts from Marx Foods and could hardly wait to start creating with them. One salt in particular caught my eye and that was the Espresso Salt. I could almost tastethe combination of espresso, salt and chocolate so I knew I had to combine those flavors.

I used the Weight Watcher's recipe for Espresso-Glazed Chocolate Brownies from the Best Ever Desserts cookbook and sprinkled the espresso salt on the finished brownies. The result was simply dangerous!!! I will be amazed if there is a brownie left in this house by morning as the whole family is enjoying them as much as I am.

Once I got started I just wanted to keep creating. Since I had made some pineapple salsa earlier in the morning and thought a bit of guacamole would balance out our football game treats. That naturally led me to the Lime Salt from Marx Foods.
I stirred a bit of the lime salt into the guacamole and sprinkled a bit more on each serving. It added a beautiful bit of texture and taste to the guacamole. Yum!!!
While I was busy in the kitchen, Greg had 8 loaves of bread ready for his bread oven. His breads just keep looking better and better!
Meanwhile, Andrea was busy dancing and singing in her high school's production of Guys and Dolls. I am thrilled with how much fun she is having while being part of this production!

We also replanted a couple of trees that have needed moving for some time so it was a very productive weekend around here.

I am amazed at how beautiful Gregs breads are. He is really getting the hang of that oven. What a culinary day at the Thomas household
