MORP

Each year Andrea's school holds a backwards prom and call it morp. Freshmen and Sophomores are able to attend this "girls invite boys" dance. Last year Andrea went with a group of her girlfriends. However, this year she decided to take a boy!!!! My baby asked me to pick up a boutonneire!!!!!! (I was able to resist the urge to hide a small tracking device in the boutonneire so Andrea should be very proud of me).

Andrea was going to get ready with a group of friends (at one of their homes) and then they were going out to dinner as a group before the dance. I spent some time the night before the dance teaching Andrea how to figure tip amounts and how to pay with her bank card. Because she had thrown such a fit about me coming by to take photos last year, I didn't even bring it up this year knowing there would be other parents there taking photos and I should be able to get some copies from them.

The morning of the dance I made sure she had everything with her so she could go with her friends right from school. Right before she went out the door we tucked the boutonneire in her purse. She was ready to go! So imagine my surprise when I got home from work and Andrea was calling to ask why I wasn't there taking photos, could I find her tickets to the dance in her school bag and oh, by the way, could I grab the boutonneire from the refrigerator and bring it to her. What?????? I grabbed my camera and hoped in the car. If I was driving over there with the boutonneire I was going to get photos of her pinning it on Garret! I have very few photos since by the time I got home from work they were almost ready to leave for dinner (Sushi). I did get a few photos of Andrea's efforts to attach Garret's boutonneire and hope to get photos from earlier in the evening from one of the many parents who were there taking photos.
Extreme ConcentrationI Did It! Andrea and Garret
When I picked Andrea up at the end of the night, she was still as happy as when she left home so I would guess the evening was a success! (Although in typical mom fashion I was able to bring her down by not letting her go bowling when she asked about it for the first time as she was getting in the car at 11:30 pm. I'm so mean.)

Oh Sue, Andrea looks absolutely stunning! Such a beautiful girl with a gorgeous smile!!!! Her dress looks amazing. You got some great shots in the brief time you were there. I bet you were secretly pleased that you had to rush over there. It would have killed me to miss out on pictures!

Glad to hear she had a great time!

Andrea is gorgeous. Absolutely beautiful. The smile and the sparkle in her eyes show that her beauty isn't skin deep either. I'm glad you had fun getting her ready and sending them off!
