Wild Weather

It was tough going on my way to meet Greg for dinner at Pierre's Bistro last night as rain, wind and tornadoes had whipped through the area most of the afternoon. Since the freeways were reported as a bad route to take, I thought it would be smart to try the sideroads. Well, this is what I was attempting to drive through. With all the downed trees and power poles traffic was being diverted almost block by block. The normally 30 minute drive took me over 1-1/2 hours to make (but dinner at Pierre's made it well worth the effort). Thank goodness the damage was limited to property yesterday.

WOW! That's scary...glad you stayed safe & dinner was worth the effort, although the drive sounds like it would have taken the wind out of my sails.

oooh ... we LOOOOOOVE pierre's bistro!! our fave spot for a quiet little date. we haven't been since moving to the 'burbs and i miss it being so close. then again, most of the shots that were on the news the other night were within blocks of the old house, so maybe the 'burbs are okay. lol what did you eat???
