Introducing Thoven

Looking at this face it's hard to believe this little guy ended up in Rescue. Thoven is a 6 month old, 10 pound Japanese Chin. Well after some talks at home and exchanging calls with his foster mom I went to meet Thoven during my lunch break today and went back to pick him up after work tonight. It was a long commute and the fair traffic on Snelling made it even longer so between work and PetSmart Thoven had a little pooping accident in the kennel and then got a bit car sick. He recovered quickly in PetSmart (his first trip there) especially after we picked out a little bed for him that he got to sit in while riding in the cart. He was very intersted in all the toys and other dogs and spent a very long time watching the birds by the puppy supply aisle. We got home after 7pm to meet everyone here. It started out pretty rocky with Brooklyn and Darby being almost impossible to calm down but once we split the dogs up to introduce them one at a time and got an endless supply of hot dogs to reward calm behavior things improved drastically. Within a couple of hours Thoven was playing with toys (hysterically funny how he pounces on them) and then with Brooklyn and Darby.
After a stressful day with so many new experiences it looks like Thoven found a friend to cuddle up with while he slept. Don't tell him, but he was sleeping so hard I was able to clip his nails.
You're going to be a great big brother to this little one, Darby.
