New Monitor

I've decided to do a bit more photography for others and knew a key factor in making that decision was knowing that the photos I gave to them would match what they received as final prints. Since I use a laptop for my primary computer the consistency from screen to print was not as good as I wanted and that to get that consistency I would need a desktop monitor. After doing a good amount of research I settled on the Dell Ultrasharp 2209WA 22 Inch Black Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor. For the price, I don't think the quality can be beat!!! The color quality on this monitor is amazing. If you're in the market for a monitor but on a limited budget, this monitor is listed for $329 on Amazon and can be found for under $300 if you're willing to shop around.

Check back as I plan to talk about other photography related equipment choices and venture into the scary world of lighting and off camera flash!!!

nice! let me know how you like it. :)

I agree that you need a consistent monitor for proofing. I have a 22 and 24, but am having trouble getting them to match colors since they are different. I run Lightroom on one and watch TV or movies on the other. :)

Very cool. Doesn't it feel good to buy something like that that you know will be put to good use and is the quality you were looking for?

Looking forward to future posts!
