The "One Size Fits All" Bed

Thoven has been making Brooklyn quite upset because he is always sitting on the big dog bed instead of the smaller bed we bought for him. I saw a new bed at Costco that I thought might appeal to Thoven and give everyone a designated spot for relaxing during the day. The bed has a padded insert and on his first step into the bed, Thoven's little leg went down between the back of the bed and the pad and he was not getting back in that bed. I pulled the pad out and he sat happily on the pad playing with his toys and I thought that would be the end of the story.

However, the shell of the new bed (purchased for a 10 pound dog) just sitting there unoccupied was apparently a little too tempting for Darby as he stepped in and quickly decided the fit was "just right" for his 80 pound frame.He stayed in this bed for the better part of the evening and was sure it was meant just for him.

When Darby got out of the bed to go upstairs to his regular bed time bed, Brooklyn decided she needed to give it a try as well. Should I have been surprised that it was just the right size for her as well? I love that everything we buy for any of our dogs appeals to all of our dogs!
