Holiday Concert
Last night the four high school orchestras put on their holiday concert. The turn out was so wonderful that two of the orchestras had to give up their seats for the overflow crowd. My mom and brother, Tom were able to attend the concert which thrilled Andrea since they had not heard her play since grade school. However, they had to wait through three other orchestras before it was Andrea's turn to play. Not to worry, they were delightfully entertained by each of the orchestras. And then Andrea took the stage with the Concert Orchestra which, for tonight, was known as the Trans-Anoka Orchestra!
They wasted no time and started right in with Christmas Eve Sarejevo! Mr. H. started the orchestra out and then hopped over to the piano to join in on this piece. What an opening it was!!! The piece ended with a well deserved standing ovation and I was so incredibly proud of Andrea's playing!!!!
Notice Andrea sitting right in front of Mr. H! She told us he sat down when he played because he has said he is so old that he could go anytime!!! Then he always tells them that if he were to go, the important thing for them to remember is where the tree is kept in the orchestra room. That cracks me up because it is just so Mr. H!
The holiday concert is always so much fun that I'm already looking forward to next year!!!
